SAMANTHA SLAWSON

Hello!

A Unique Perspective

I have always loved learning people’s stories. I believe that our experiences shape the person we want to become. I enjoy working with individuals and couples as they navigate change within their lives. I welcome clients from all walks of life. My personal experiences with my disability have led me to pursue a career in therapy. My disability provides me a unique perspective on challenges and allows me to think creatively for solutions. It allows me to connect with those who have felt judged or ‘othered’.

When working with individuals, I provide a space to explore who you are and who you want to become. When working with relationships, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help find communication tools that allow each partner to feel heard and understood. In our sessions, you will find a non-judgmental environment where you can freely discuss whatever is weighing on you or your relationship.

Together, we will navigate the complexities of your experiences, whether they involve sex, trauma, or grief. I am committed to helping you uncover your strengths, understand your patterns, and develop strategies that promote healing and growth. My approach is compassionate, creative, and collaborative, ensuring that your needs and goals are at the forefront of our work together.

My Approach

As a Human

In my free time, I can usually be found devouring a new book or show, baking. I value authenticity and encourage my clients to embrace every aspect of themselves. If I sound like someone you want to work with, let’s schedule a chat!
