I approach therapy from a systemic, relational, and deeply human lens. Rather than viewing people as a collection of symptoms or diagnoses, I’m interested in understanding the larger story: your relationships, attachment patterns, family history, identity, body, sexuality, values, culture, protective strategies, and the experiences that have shaped how you move through the world.

My work is grounded primarily in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, attachment theory, and family systems thinking, with additional influence from experiential, somatic, parts-informed, ACT, and contemporary sex therapy approaches. In practice, this means we may explore the emotional patterns beneath conflict, the stories you have learned to believe about yourself, the ways your nervous system has learned to protect you, and the relational dynamics that continue to shape your experience.

With couples and relational partners, I pay close attention to the cycles that develop between people—especially the moments where fear, longing, shame, resentment, disconnection, or unmet needs begin to take over. The goal is not simply to communicate “better,” but to understand what is happening underneath the interaction and create new experiences of safety, honesty, intimacy, autonomy, and connection.

In sex therapy, I take a biopsychosocial and relational approach. Sexual concerns rarely exist in isolation from the rest of a person’s life. Desire, pleasure, arousal, pain, performance, body image, attachment, relationship dynamics, cultural messages, medical factors, and past experiences can all intersect. Therapy creates space to understand those intersections without shame or judgment.

I believe diagnosis can be clinically useful, but I do not believe a diagnosis tells the whole story of a person. My role is not to decide what is “wrong” with you. It is to help us understand what makes sense about how you adapted, what may no longer be serving you, and what you need to feel more connected, authentic, flexible, empowered, and alive.

You can expect me to bring warmth, curiosity, honesty, compassion, and candor into the room. Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and active. We will make room for insight, emotion, humor, accountability, and the complexity that comes with being human.
